Founded in 2010, TRUSTED.ro is the Romanian Trustmark for online shops. 

Our mission is to help online businesses grow, respect current legislation and best practices in e-commerce in Romania. 

We have adopted a set of 34 criteria to safeguard shops and increase the trust of consumers when shopping online. Completing all criteria, shops are granted Trusted.ro Trustmark and throughout the year they receive regular updates and guidance/advice.

In addition to the Trustmark, we have developed a public review system from real customers for online shops. 

Since 2017, we are Safe.Shop partners and granting their international Trustmark for Romanian online businesses.

The most important criteria for e-shops:

  • Display on a single page all details about the company that manages the site: the name, the commercial and fiscal registration numbers, the social capital, the headquarters and/or the business address, phone and email.
  • Designate a person to be in charge of conciliation OR have a functional procedure to amicably resolve any disputes.
  • Inform consumers about the right of withdrawal from the online contract in accordance with law.
  • The customer explicitly agrees to, before placing the order, to a contract / agrees with the terms and conditions 
  • Display information about the legal (compliance) guarantee and, where applicable, the commercial warranty of the products.
  • The order process is valid (all products displayed are available for purchase, no technical errors occur during the order, an explicit and valid message will be displayed/sent after having placed the order) 
  • Have at least 6 business months of online commercial activities.
